Calligraphy and
Illumination

As a member of the SCA, I have spent countless hours honing my skills as a scribe in an attempt to re-create the period works seen in the first books ever printed. I am especially interested in how pigments were made from raw materials, and many of my pieces were done using paint created with these methods. These examples are awards given to members of the SCA for excellence in many areas. Often when a member of the society gets an award, they get a scroll. It has been a great pleasure of mine to create these original works for people while learning about medieval painting techniques. Included in this section are a few other items I have created in the SCA like wood carvings, a Viking Shield, and a musical instrument.
